What's Not on Our List? Spoiler Alert! It's Tax Giveaways for Greedy Corporations
Rocky Mountain Values today released the following statement outlining the key economic policies that Coloradans need to lower costs and strengthen the financial security of Colorado’s hardworking families:
“There is no time to waste. Hardworking Coloradans are making this economy work, and we must advocate for the tools and opportunities to reduce their day-to-day costs of groceries and other goods, as well as the monthly bills like rent, mortgages, medications, and utilities. Along with substantial tax relief for the millions in the middle, we also need to stop price gouging and take on greedy corporations who put profit before people. These initiatives would provide much-needed financial relief and create opportunities for all Coloradans to thrive.
“In stark contrast, the conservative Project 2025 agenda sides with big corporations, working to give them more tax cuts while gutting programs that let Coloradans retire securely. This misguided approach threatens to raise costs for families and undermine the very programs that provide security in retirement.
“Our focus on capping essential medical costs, strengthening retirement programs, and supporting small businesses is vital to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life in Colorado. Moreover, cutting taxes for families and frontline workers will ensure that everyone has a fair shot at achieving financial stability. We believe these economic priorities are crucial for fostering a strong and resilient Colorado, where every family can afford to live, work, and retire with dignity.”
