Yesterday, the U.S. House voted on a continuing resolution to set federal government spending levels through March 2025. Colorado’s Rep. Lauren Boebert voted against the funding measure, one of 14 Republicans holding for more extreme cuts. Rocky Mountain Values released the following statement in response:
“Rep. Lauren Boebert and House Republicans are pushing for a spending bill that is squarely in line with the Project 2025 agenda that puts super wealthy Americans and greedy corporations ahead of Colorado families, seniors, and veterans. This continuing resolution as it stands and the additional, more extreme cuts that Boebert is seeking shortchanges veterans’ healthcare. It contains no new funding to shore up the Social Security Administration. It fails to fully fund disaster relief. It’s simply unacceptable.
Boebert and Republicans should come back to the table, drop their extreme policy demands, and work towards a spending bill that better serves working Coloradans. We don’t have time to waste.”
